Eat The Word |
Notes on eating the Word. |
1 For every high priest chosen from among men is appointed to act on behalf of men in relation to God, to offer gifts and sacrifices for sins.2 He can deal gently with the ignorant and wayward, since he himself is beset with weakness.
Hebrews 5:1-2
He listens. He’s not just acquainted with weakness, he’s beset with weakness. He is gentle with even our ignorance and wayward ways, not just our weakness that we incur when other’s sin against us. His compassion is boundless.
He even meets us in the prison of unforgiveness, loving us with his compassion, drawing us into forgiveness. His kindness, forbearance, and patience empower us to repent and forgive. (Rom 2:4)

One day, I will shout from the highest point, that it was all worth it. I will look deep into your gaze, and I will hold it without fail, nothing will stop me, all power in heaven and on earth will aid me in that gaze. I will look on you, and I will proclaim that it was all worth it.
May your grace carry me to that day.
Romans 2:4
Or do you think lightly of the riches of His kindness and tolerance and patience, not knowing that the kindness of God leads you to repentance?
Romans 4:7-8
Blessed are those whose lawless deeds are forgiven, and whose sins are covered; blessed is the man against whom the Lord will not count his sin.
Romans 6:12
Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, to make you obey its passions. Do not present your members to sin as instruments for unrighteousness, but present yourselves to God as those who have been brought from death to life, and your members to God as instruments for righteousness. For sin will have no dominion over you, since you are not under law but under grace.
Brighton wanted to help. Everything was too heavy for him. So I let him carry some pads even though I’d have to move them out of the way later. I think I might actually be learning parenting by Grace.
This is how God loves me. Everything is way too heavy for me, but he graciously incites me into his work. Amazing.
